- 30-40 medium sized okras (finely chopped or grated)
- 10-12 cooked beef pieces (or chicken, goat, turkey etc.)
- 4-6 tablespoons whole or dry crayfish
- 1 small onion
- 3 1/2 cups water or beef or chicken broth
- 1 small dryfish or stockfish (cleaned, deboned, and cut into chunks)
- 1 seasoning cube, maggi or knorr
- Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon fresh or dry pepper

Grating okra with a grater or blending the okra in a food processer or blender with a little bit of water will give you okra that’s extremely viscous and draws quite easily. Blending the okra is the fastest preparation method; but if you like okra soup that’s chunky, this method does not allow for that option.
